Abstract

The article examines the magazine of M. Boguslavskaya ‘Women’s friend’ published in 1882-1884 in Moscow. The authors analyze the reasons for publishing such an outlet, its programme, range of authors, structure and significance, taking into account the historical context. The controversy with a number of periodicals is shown.
