1. Requirements for publication

In accordance to  the Code of ethics of scientific publication the author (or group of authors) is aware that he / she bears the initial responsibility for the novelty and validity of the results of scientific research, which involves the following principles:

The authors should provide reliable research results. False or fraudulent statements are unacceptable.
Authors should ensure that the results of the study, as set out in the submitted manuscript are completely original. Borrowed fragments or statements must be filed with the obligatory indication of the author and source. Excessive borrowing and plagiarism in any form, including unregistered quote, paraphrase or assignment of rights to the results of foreign studies, are unethical and unacceptable.
It is necessary to recognize the contributions of all persons, one way or another influenced the course of the study. In particular, the article must be submitted references to works valuable for the research.
Authors should not submit to the journal the manuscript has been already sent to another journal and is under consideration, as well as an article already published in another journal.
Co-authors of the article should include all the persons who have made a significant contribution to the study. Among the co-authors it is unacceptable to specify persons who are not involved into the study.
If the author finds significant mistakes during the peer review process or after the text publication, he / she must notify the Editor as soon as possible.

In this article you must specify the applied research methodology to comply with factual and historical accuracy, scientific writing style.

2. Submission procedure

The article should be written in accordance with the "Requirements for the design of material" and submitted to the journal in electronic format. All submitted materials must necessarily include additional document – the conclusion of the expert commission or the head of the expert confirming that the article prepared for review and publication does not contain information constituting a state secret, are not subject to secrecy and can be openly published.

Supplement for graduate students and applicants.
Graduate students and applicants are required to present the extract from the faculty department meeting, which discussed the article, with the recommendation for the publication. The extract must be stamped by the organization, which makes a recommendation, contain the number of protocol, date, name of the university and the department, name of the supervisor, his phone number and / or email address.
Statements with the recommendation could be left in the folder "Mediaskop" at the deans office the Faculty of Journalism (MSU).

3. Review procedure

In accordance to the requirements of Higher Attestation Commission for publication in a scientific journal, the manuscripts are subject to mandatory review. In "Mediascope" journal a double-blind peer review is organized. The right to choose the reviewers belongs to the editorial board. All reviewers are acknowledged experts on the subject of peer-reviewed materials and have publications in peer-reviewed articles in the past three years.

Expert opinion is stored in the office with the publications during five years. At the request of the author of the reviewers comments may be sent to him. In case of refusal to publish the article author receives detailed review with a motivated refusal.

According to the "Requirements for peer-reviewed publications to be included in the list of peer-reviewed scientific publications, which should publish basic scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of doctor of science" office of the journal "Mediascope" guides copies of reviews to the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation for admission to the editors of the corresponding request.

4. Requirements for manuscript design
4.1. Overall design

At the beginning of the article you must specify the author's name (in full), place of work and status, full name of the university and the department (for graduate students), contact telephone number and email address.
The recommended size of articles is from 20 to 40 thousand characters with spaces.
The text should be clearly structured, have an internal division into paragraphs.
Title of the article should be typed in capital letters in bold 14 point type.
The text should be created in the .doc format (.docx) and scored 12 point type, Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing.
The article must be accompanied by a summary (abstract) and keywords.
In the summary in Russian, of no more than 60 words should be set out the relevance of study, the problems covered in the article and the main conclusions.
Abstract in English should not be a literal translation of the summary in Russian.

Is necessary to observe the basic rules and the style of the English language. Welcomed the annotation structure follows the structure of the article and includes: introduction, goals, objectives, methods, results, conclusion.
The size of text annotation is 150-200 words.

Key words (no more than 5) should reflect the main content of the article, to use the terms of the text of the article, as well as terms that define the subject area and includes other important concepts that will facilitate and enhance the possibility of finding articles by means of information retrieval system.

The compulsory elements of the article are a review of literature and explicit conclusions.

In the review of literature, it is essential to indicate the extent of previous research into the problem, contemporary Russian and foreign works on the theme of the article substantiating the current importance of the material, its practical and /or theoretical significance, continuity and scientific novelty characteristic of the scientific school the author belongs to.

The conclusions must clearly and economically reflect the content of the article and the results of the conducted research within the theoretical conceptual and methodological framework established by the author.
