Abstract
In the presented study, irony is considered as an integral part of the culture of a communicant who considers themselves to be part of the IT community. The research was based on articles of the professional digital magazine «Hacker» for 2020-2023. The article attempts to allocate the main means of creating irony in the text of IT-topics, define the predominant functions performed by irony in the environment of IT specialists, and analyze the role of irony in the formation of successful communication.
