Abstracts

Contemporary media audiences, especially young people, are often associated with apolitical views, and their activity in social media on socio-cultural issues is not perceived as political activity. Today, however, both the forms of political participation and its content have been significantly transformed. The article explores the problem of socio-cultural determinacy of contemporary political activity on the example of representatives of Russian youth, its focus on social change in everyday life.

Keywords: Media activism, mediatization, politics, youth, social media.
