Abstract

The article examines the dynamics of public relations development in Russia, presents data on the main stages of communication development, and pays special attention to the transformation of PR activities in a mediatized society. The basic component of the article is determination of the essential characteristics of modern public relations. In this regard, a version of a categorical apparatus, scientific knowledge in the field of public relations, is proposed. The article provides an opportunity for researchers and practitioners, public relations specialists to identify trends in the development of public relations.
