Abstract

The adoption of a new Regulation on the protection of personal data of the European Union opens a new page in the area of data protection in Europe. The document applies to all EU member states and also affects users and companies in third countries with whom European data processors cooperate. In this study the principles of the new mechanism of protection, rights and obligations of the parties are analyzed, the innovations of the sector are examined and the legal contradictions of the Regulation are assessed. The conclusion summarizes the study and shows the advantages of the new legislation of the European Union.
